Comments:
I bought this and some 20 other "etched agate" beads 2007 in Lothal - the famous ancient port of the Indus-Valley culture. Though I cannot be certain how old this very bead is, the history of Lothal began ca. 2000 BC, hence the mentioned age of this bead (1000-CE) is a guess.
Please know, all beads I am offered for sale are handpicked during the past 28 years in their countries of origin. They were bought for my collection I am not offering for sale. Please do not be confused with the INCREDIBLE AMOUNT of "fakes" and modern copies (Taiwan+China), offered at low prices (sometimes even highest prices) and with "rare" designs. Should you just want a "cheap beads to wear", you might buy such copies. If you want authentic, ancient specimen, you might consider to buy mine!
